  • While Literacy Playground can be personalized for kids with a variety of interests, abilities, and levels of readiness there are some kids for whom it will work for better than others.

    Literacy Playground activities work well for kids with mild learning difficulties such as ADD, ADHD, dysgraphia, and dyslexia.

    It also works well for kids who do not have a learning difficulty.

  • Yes! Literacy Playground activities are evidence-based. They should reinforce what teachers and specialists are already working on with your kids.

    I’m a STRONG advocate for parent-teacher partnerships. We encourage you to communicate what you’re working on here with specialists and teachers.

    If you're looking for the right vocabulary for talking to teachers and specialists about Literacy Playground, let them know that you're helping your child develop their phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, and encoding skills through a structured literacy program that's made for parents to do with their kids.

  • You can use Literacy Playground to teach your child with dyslexia.

    It is an individualized, structured literacy program featuring with multi-sensory learning experiences.

  • Foundations was designed for brand new readers. You can use Foundations to teach your children the first steps of reading and writing. You can also use it to address gaps in your child’s learning.

  • That's okay! We’ll customize your child’s program according to their unique learning style.

  • If you already have a curriculum that you are using, we can work with you to help implement that curriculum in the most effective way.

  • We've used our methods to inspire confidence in readers and writers of all ages and abilities.

    We will customize a plan that work for your child.

  • We will include 3-6 months of materials that are already prepped for you. Foundations is an open and go program.

  • If you’re located in the United States, your start date is two weeks after you sign up. During these two weeks, we curate materials for your child and mail them to you. Once you receive your materials, we meet you one-on-one online to go over your child’s program with you.

    If you’re located outside the United States your child’s start date is three weeks after you sign up. You will receive books and customized materials before your child’s start date.

  • Yes, we ship internationally. If you are located outside of the United States, we will get the right books and materials to you by your start date, which is three weeks after signing up. At the moment we are not charging an additional fee for international shipping and handling.
